Job Announcement: Fatality Review Director and Fatality Review Coordinator
Want to play a centralized role in the development of a new project in Illinois that will identify barriers to safety and justice for survivors of domestic violence; identify how institutional incentives discourage or encourage excellent responses to domestic violence; identify gaps in training, policy, practice, resources, communication, and collaboration; and help communities think creatively about how to work differently to better support survivors? One of these positions may be perfect for you. Illinois recently enacted a statewide Fatality Review initiative to do those things.
ICADV is seeking two qualified candidates to fill the positions created to implement this project:
A Director of Fatality Review to work collaboratively with the Statewide Domestic Violence Fatality Review Committee to develop the foundational policies and procedures by which the statewide committee will implement the project and report on the reviews.
A Fatality Review Coordinator to work with local communities to develop review teams, and subsequently help them conduct and report on their reviews. ICADV is the statewide advocacy coalition composed of over 50 member organizations throughout Illinois who serve over 50,000 survivors of domestic violence and their children each year.
Through training and technical assistance ICADV provides support to those agencies to provide the best service to families. Our advocacy, lobbying and public education help inform policy development that builds the best safety nets possible for survivors and their children while holding perpetrators accountable.
