ICADV Lending Library

Please read the following policies for using the ICADV lending library.  There are some restrictions and fees associated with the use of the library.

  1. Material can be checked out directly through the website or the checkout form may be emailed, faxed, or mailed, to the ICADV office that includes your name, mailing address (no P.O. boxes), and a telephone number.
  2. If you wish to check out a video you will need to supply a credit card (VISA, Mastercard) number, expiration date, and name on the card, call 217-789-2830 and ask to speak to someone who works in the lending library.  If the video is not returned in a timely manner, the card will be charged for replacement of the item.   If you do not have a credit card, you may contact your local ICADV Domestic Violence Program and request materials through them; then you will be able to review the materials at the local domestic violence program.
  3. Videos are available only to those residing in Illinois.
  4. A lending period of 30 days is available for books, videos, audiocassettes, and manuals.
  5. Up to four videos, books, and/or manuals, and/or audiocassettes are available to anyone living in the United States.
  6. You are responsible for the shipping for any material sent to you.
  7. Journal articles may be copied at a rate of $0.20/page plus shipping. Up to 10 articles may be copied, but only one copy of an article per person. This service is available to those living in the United States.
  8. To return videos, please use a mailing method that tracks the items. Each video must be insured for $250, with the exception of When Domestic Violence Comes to Work, which must be insured for $800.
