Education and Advocacy Materials

ICADV provides resources that aid you in educating decision-makers about the importance of domestic violence and advocating for increased funding.

Action Alerts

When there is activity at the state or national level that impacts domestic violence programs and their clients, ICADV sends you information about what is happening along wtih instructions on next steps and what you can do.

Peer-to-Peer Support

Your program might have knowledge in an area where antoher program struggles. ICADV facilitates peer-to-peer support between programs so that you can share your expertise and help other programs become more knowledgeable.

Annual Board of Directors Retreat

Every year, ICADV hosts the Annual Board of Directors Retreat, where program directors and staff meet to share their experiences, talk about ongoing and emerging issues, and brainstorm how to best address the needs in the field.

Regional Meetings

ICADV hosts regular regional meetings with other program directors in your region to share ideas and experiences, and to troubleshoot specific issues that programs and victims might be experiencing.

Intensive Technical Assistance

If your program ever faces a special challenge and you need extra support, ICADV is always a phone call away to provide individualized and intensive technical assistance.

Policy Development

ICADV helps programs develop organizational policies to increase the effectiveness of their operations, and also provides guidance in developing policies around other areas of need.

Training and Public Education

ICADV provides training at reduced rates for member programs. Trainings cover a variety of topics related to domestic violence. Members also may receive up to $2,000 in public education brochures, fliers, posters and online training registrations from ICADV annually.
